“Empeltre morta” olives La Gaeta. These olives, with a wrinkled appearance, a soft and oily texture and a very pleasant and delicate aroma, come from farms located in Catalunya and the Bajo Aragón region. Unlike other varieties, this one is harvested when already mature, between mid-November and the end of December. The “Empeltre Morta” olives, unlike the “Empeltre”, are produced in open containers without water and mixed with lots of salt so the cold and dry climate of the area and the salt absorb their humidity. Once they are ready, the salt is removed before packaging.
Storage tips: Store at room temperature. Once open, keep the content refrigerated between 0 and 4 ºC until the expiration date indicated on the jar.
Presentation suggestions: We recommend serving the “Empeltre Morta” olives La Gaeta at room temperature. You can also add them to salads, pasta dishes, sauces, etc.
